Benefit Works.

17 01 2011

Here are two benefits that I contributed pieces to in 2010. The first was a show put together by my friend,(a great artist) Sean Kernick. It was called the Haiti Tap-Tap benefit. Sean made wooden Tap-Taps( the Haitian buses that are elaborately and colorfully decorated) for twelve artists to customize in their own way. At the benefit the pieces were auctioned off and all the proceeds went to help the victims of the earthquake. It was a very successful event.
The second piece (Wage Peace) was for the American Friends Service commitee, who put a traveling show together with 40 artists called Windows and Mirrors,Reflections on the War in Afghanistan. A great turnout for a great cause.Check it out.
